Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.5) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Sept. 12.083 and 12.912 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 6h13m32s.33, Decl. = +69o43'49".2 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 39".9 west and 3".9 north of the center of UGC 3416. Nothing is visible at this location on Boles' images from 2007 Jan. 14 and 2006 Dec. 16 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey images from 1997 Mar. 9 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1996 Jan. 18 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
