Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 15.1) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Nov. 3.819 and 4.724 UT with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 16h49m51s.49, Decl. = +55o32'35".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 15".0 west and 0".1 south of the center of NGC 6246. Nothing is present at this position on Boles' images from 2009 May 23 and Aug. 13 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitized Sky Survey plates from 1992 June 29 (limiting red mag 20.5) and 1990 Apr. 21 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
