APPARENT SUPERNOVA IN MCG+09-13-28 T. Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 17.9) on unfiltered CCD images taken on Feb 12.864 with a 0.35-m reflector. The new object is located at R.A. = 07h40m26.01s. Decl. = +54o51'12".7, which is approximately 4".2 west and 5".4 south of the center of MCG+09-13-28. Joe Brimacombe obtained a confirmation image on Feb 14.266 with a 51cm RCOS in Mayhill, New Mexico. Brimacombe gets end figures of 26s.02 and 11".8. Nothing is present at this position on Boles' images from 2010 Dec 06 and 2009 Jan 02 (limiting mag 19.5) or on Digitised Sky Survey Plates from 1995-02-25 (limiting red mag 20.5), and 1998-03-23 (limiting blue mag 21.0).
